Gael a seasoned sommelier, from Wine Trotters was amazing! He carefully personalized a private wine tour for our family! He is extremely knowledgeable about wine and wine making processes in France and other areas of the world! Gael was attentive, thoughtful and engaging! He picked us up in Paris, drove us to Chambord Castle (all the while providing a history lesson), and then on to Amboise (a beautiful town in the Loire Valley) for the wine tour! We learnt about guests visiting estates and how they were welcomed, vine care and the wine makers role, as well as tasted exceptional food and wine pairings! We would highly recommend reaching out to Wine Trotters!! we cant Thank you enough!

We had a lovely day with Gael as he shared his excellent knowledge of wines and the Loire Region. A wonderful day was planned for us, visiting 3 wineries. Each one was unique and had a special story about its establishment. The caves were particularly interesting. We sampled more than 18 wines and enjoyed the comfort of transport in a clean and modern van. The day zipped by because it was so well sequenced and we truly felt we got the experience we were hoping for in the famous wine region of the Loire Valley. Thank you Gael and Wine Trotters. Highly recommended for a private tour.

We booked this wine tour many months in advance so that we could have someone who knows the region talk to us about the wines of the Loire Valley. There were 4 of us wine drinkers in our group and we all had a great time AND learned a lot about the French wine making rules and regulations of which there are a lot! Gael and his wife started wine Trotters because wine is their shared passion. Gael was our guide for the day. We chose the Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume wines for our tour. The van was clean and comfortable and Gael began to explain the complicated French wine system in our way to Sancerre. We had tastings at 3 different wineries: Henri Bourgeois (Sancerre), Chateau de Tracy (Tracy-Sur-Loire) and Masson-Blondelet (Pouilly-Sur-Loire). They were all different and interesting. The charcuterie lunch we had at Chateau de Tracy was yummy! We purchased wines from each winery and Gael worked with a company to get them shipped to us after our vacation. I would highly recommend Wine Trotters!

Gael was a terrific guide for the day. We spent the day at 3 different wineries that were chosen well by Gael for their interest and variety. Gael is extremely knowledgeable on the subject of wine with extensive world wine experience which he brings to the local Loire wineries. Loire Valley wineries are lucky to have him!
Our tour was in a Mercedes van which was very comfortable. Gael also arranged for lunch in one of the wineries adding authenticity to the tour.
While being an expert on wines, Gael can also expand on the wineries (wines) in an easily understood and simple manner.
Gael was also very knowledgeable about the history of the Loire Valley being a local.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day. We will be using Gael again!

We had an amazing experience in the Loire Valley with Gael! Starting months ahead of time, Gael took the time to get a sense of our wine preferences in order to design a custom tour that would allow us to experience the local wine scene.

On the day of our tour, Gael picked us up right on time in a very comfortable van and we set off on our tour of three vineyards. We had such a nice time chatting with him and learning about his experience in the industry, which is impressive!

Along the way, Gael pointed out notable castles and landmarks to us and even gave us a "secret" view of the Chateau de Chenonceau which we hadn't had time to visit during our trip.

At our second vineyard of the day, we enjoyed a really lovely lunch with local products. All of the vineyards we visited were so friendly and lovely experiences.

Our Wine Trotters tour was absolutely the highlight of our visit to the Loire Valley, and we look forward to booking with them again the next time we're in France!
